Men's Tennis is beaten by Tiffin University on Sunday afternoon
The men?s tennis team dropped their second consecutive match on Sunday, falling to Tiffin 8-1. The Scots were unable to overcome their GLIAC opponents on a brisk morning at the Superior Street Tennis Complex. The loss drops the Scots to 2-9 on the year.
">The Dragons came out strong using superior control to claim all three of the opening doubles matches. The Scots fell behind early in every match and were not able to recover.

">">">">With a 3-0 hole, the Scots went out looking to play consistent tennis in singles. All six matches provided excellent hard-hitting action. Despite the solid play Tiffin was simply too good on the day. Fr. Justin Meyer (Warren Woods, MI/Warren Woods Tower) provided the Scots with their only win of the day battling his opponent over the course of three sets to a 7-5, 1-6, 10-6 win. Meyer?s consistent and high-energy play proved to be too much for his powerful opponent at #4 singles.
?
">">So. Logan Beard (Ithaca, MI/Ithaca, MI) provided the next closest decision for the Scots, Beard dropped a close first set, 6-4, before winning the second 6-1. Beard, playing at #2 singles, was unable to pull out the third set however, falling 6-2.
">?For the second straight day I thought we played some great tennis,? said Head Coach Chris Sandro. ?This was a tough GLIAC squad that deserves credit for playing well. We will work to maintain this high level of play for the rest of the season, beginning with Hope on Thursday.?
?
">">">The Scots return to action when they travel to Holland on Thursday to take on Hope (5-7, 1-0). That match is scheduled to get underway at 4:00 p.m.
